Hello Everyone, my name is Ari and I am excited that you have taken the time to explore Justice for the People.

Justice for the People started as a class assignment but has become a pet project of mine. I graduated with a B.A in sociology from Calvin College in 2016 and shortly after Donald Trump was elected president of the United States. Since then I have begun to see blatant disregard for research and statistics, which is simply disregarded as “fake news”.  To me it appears that racism, homophobia, sexism, and xenophobia have become accepted in public debates which is a disgrace.

The fight for justice is being lost in Canada as well with the rise of faux progressive Justin Trudeau. While Trudeau is talented with the pen, his progressive words are not reflected in action. Pipelines continue to be built, indigenous rights are disregarded, and while there may be a gender neutral cabinet little has changed regarding the gender pay gap. It is time for true progressive thoughts to be pursued.

I created Justice for the People as a place for me to express my displeasure with neo-liberal capitalism. This is a place to explore new ideas and try to find answers to the questions we need to start asking. At times I may make mistakes or get facts wrong. If at any time you deem my work to be lacking clarity or empathy please let me know so that I can address it. I want to acknowledge the privilege that I possess so please let me know if what I have written is problematic and I will address it.
